Week Four

As we are going deeper in the course we go through different issues related to our own practice. We go back and forth to think about what we are doing know and what we should do in order to achieve high level of learning for our students.

This week we thought about obstacles that faces our learners as language learners and how can we help them overcome such problems.

These problems vary from one teacher to another and the solutions vary as well. However, we need to think critically about what we do and see what others do so we can get a clear idea about what things can work in our context and what things that don't.

We read about planning a lesson using technology and everyone came up with his own plan. The plan should be detailed and gives good indicators about what can be done inside the classroom. In my point of view , teachers should include all the necessary things that might be helpful for them when they conduct the lesson.

We also have checked out some of the useful websites for building writing and reading skills. Participants have chosen what suit their students and I really enjoyed going through the content of the recommend websites.

I feel that this course is like an adventure where we explore things and anylyse them according to our needs.

  1. Hi, Moosa!

This course is an adventure for me, too!

    I like exploring and analysing)))

I agree that overcoming problems and satisfying needs of our students we help them to learn language. But there is a proverb I like
“Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand.”

I think we should involve and motivate our students to overcome these problems with us.
